Sue Emery
Biography
We welcome Sue Ann as the newest of the Austin Strings teachers, having joined us last summer. She has taught public and private school music for the last 33 years, and private piano for 5 years. She has loved to perform in community concerts and is a delight for her students, bringing a joy and love of music to new beginners. Her focus is on classical piano techniques and improvisation.
Lessons
Lesson are generally 1/2 hour, but can be longer to accommodate each students needs. In classes Sue focuses on note reading and fingering, correct technique. She loves to teach classic pieces and traditional childrens’ songs to students 6- adult, beginner to intermediate levels. She has recitals twice and year.
